Tenzin Dorjee is the Inaugural Stephanie G. Neuman Fellow in Comparative Defense Studies. He is a Ph.D. candidate in the department of political science at Columbia University. Dorjee’s research examines the influence of religion on political conflict and the efficacy of nonviolent resistance. Before joining the Ph.D. program, Dorjee worked with the National Endowment for Democracy, Students for a Free Tibet, and Tibet Action Institute. His work has been published by the Oxford Encyclopedia of Politics and Religion, the International Center on Nonviolent Conflict, the Jamestown Foundation, the Washington Post, and the Council on Foreign Relations.
