SIWPS Visiting Scholar Linde Desmaele has been awarded a Stanton Nuclear Fellowship with the Security Studies Program at MIT. Starting in October, 2022, Linde will spend the academic year at MIT conducting research on the linkages between the United States extended deterrence posture in Europe and East Asia. 

This year The Stanton Nuclear Security Fellows Program selected thirteen young scholars who will pursue research at one of seven leading institutions in the nuclear security field in the United States: The Belfer Center at Harvard University; Carnegie Corporation; The Council on Foreign Relations; CISAC at Stanford University; SSP and NSE at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology; The Rand Corporation; and Texas A&M University.
