Tamar Mitts has co-authored an article in the Proceedings of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Web Science Conference. Titled,  “Removal of Anti-Vaccine Content Impacts Social Media Discourse,”  the article (with Nilima Pisharody and Jacob Shapiro) finds that when Facebook removes content promoting COVID-19 vaccine misinformation, the same content re-appears on Twitter, raising questions about the effectiveness of content moderation across social media platforms.
