Professor Tanisha Fazal received the Best Book Award from the Conflict Processes Section of the American Political Science Association for her book, State Death: The Politics and Geography of Conquest, Occupation, and Annexation (Princeton University Press, 2007).  Her work was honored as “the best book in the field of conflict processes.”  A graduate of Stanford University, Fazal was also awarded APSA’s Helen Dwight Reid Award for “best doctoral dissertation completed and accepted during that year or the previous year in the field of international relations, law and politics” in 2002.
