Zara Williamson is a junior at Columbia College, majoring in Political Science with a concentration in Human Rights. Influenced by her Trinidadian and Jamaican American heritage, her academic interests are centered around international human rights law as well as a particular interest in Caribbean peace and security efforts. At Columbia, Zara is the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Social Justice and a Lead Print Editor at the Columbia Undergraduate Law Review, as well as a Senior Editor at the Columbia Political Review. She has previously interned with the World Federation of United Nations Associations and will begin an internship at the Permanent Mission of Barbados to the United Nations in the Fall. Outside of her academic and professional pursuits, Zara serves as President of Raw Elementz Hip Hop Troupe.
