Mia Tellmann is a junior at Barnard College majoring in Political Science. She is a Norwegian, German, and U.S. citizen and has lived in various countries in Europe, Asia, and in the United States. Mia’s academic interests include international security and intelligence, counter-terrorism, and the interplay between democracies, autocracies, and dictatorships. She has worked extensively in global public health, biosecurity, and emergency management at NYU’s School of Global Public Health and its Department of Public Safety, and she is a published researcher in pandemic preparedness. Most recently, Mia has worked in Europe in both government and corporate settings, including at the U.S. Department of State’s Consulate in Munich, Germany, and at Coca-Cola HBC in Vienna, Austria. She is bilingual in German and English and speaks French and Italian.
