Inbar Pe’er is originally from Israel but grew up in New York City and is a Junior at Columbia College double -majoring in Political Science and Middle Eastern Studies. Her research interests include Middle Eastern history and geopolitics, foreign policy crisis decision-making, U.S foreign policy in the Middle East region and the psychology of peace processes. In addition to studying abroad in Jordan and Tunisia, Inbar has been working as a research assistant for the Saltzman Institute’s Director, Keren Yarhi-Milo, since last December and has worked with her on a project about the reputational and political costs leaders face for dishonesty about foreign policy. On campus, Inbar is involved with the Political Science Students Association, Columbia’s One For the World Chapter and the Housing Equity Project. In her spare time, Inbar can be found trying to find the best hummus spot in New York City.
