Elena Flack is from Paris, France. She is a rising senior in the dual BA between Columbia GS and Sciences Po. During her first two years of college in Paris, she enrolled simultaneously in two BAs, earning a degree in political science from Science Po and a degree in Philosophy from the Sorbonne. At Columbia, she studies international relations and philosophy. Her research interests focus on European Affairs, including European defense, European collective memory, and European identity. During the Summer of 2022, she interned at France’s permanent representation at the UN, focusing on Political Affairs. On-campus, she is a staff writer at the Gadfly and a Columbia mock trial team member. At Sciences Po, she served as the President of the Jewish Student Union and as an elected student representative.
