Ronald Wu is from Vancouver, Canada and is a junior at Columbia College double majoring in Political Science and Information Science with a special track in Political Methodology. Prior to coming to Columbia, he studied Political Science and Russian at Swarthmore College. His research interests include authoritarian and Communist states, Chinese politics, state-society relations, and quantitative methods. Ronald served as a Research Assistant at the Think Tanks and Civil Societies Programme at the University of Pennsylvania, and also at the Weatherhead Institute at Columbia. Ronald is currently a Visiting Research Fellow at the Geneva Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID), where he assists with survey research on labour politics in China. He has also interned for Frontier Centre on Public Policy and an immigration law firm in Canada. In his spare time, Ronald enjoys learning new languages and travelling.
