Olivia Ribaudo is a senior at Barnard College pursuing a double major in Human Rights and Neuroscience and Behavior, along with an accelerated Master’s in International Affairs: International Security and Diplomacy through Columbia SIPA. On campus, she serves on the executive board of Columbia’s Amnesty International, Public Interest Law Association, and tap dance ensemble, UnTapped. She is also the Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. Locally, Olivia volunteers with the New York chapters of Best Buddies and Special Olympics, engaging her passion for disability justice and advocacy. She is a current Clinical Research Intern in the Neurology Department of Mount Sinai Hospital, assisting with research for the diagnosis and treatment of Multiple Sclerosis; she has previously interned with the Maine Restorative Justice Coalition and served as a Millennium Fellow for United Nations Academic Impact. With an interest in the neurobiology of conflict – understanding how the brain functions in situations of threat, aggression, and crisis – and post-conflict justice, Olivia plans to pursue research in conflict and peace studies and a career in international human rights law.
