Nicolas Lama is a senior in Columbia College from West Palm Beach, Florida, studying Economics, Political Science, and East Asian Studies. His research interests include U.S.-China relations, climate change law, conservation governance, and international environmental policymaking. In addition to being a Saltzman Student Scholar, Nicolas is a Managing Editor for the Columbia Political Review and serves on the Student Advisory Board of the Eric H. Holder Jr. Initiative for Civil and Political Rights. Outside of Columbia, Nicolas is an environmental activist and serves on the Youth Leadership Council of EarthEcho International, an environmental non-profit dedicated to building a global youth movement to protect and restore our ocean planet.
