Description:

This webinar will bring together scholars and policy experts to analyze two recent and significant developments: the U.S. government’s decertification of Colombia’s counter-narcotics efforts and the maritime bombing of Venezuelan boats amid allegations of organized crime and drug-trade links. Taken together, these events raise important questions about whether U.S. policy toward the “War on Drugs” in the region is undergoing a broader reorientation.
